1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how BVS Trade FZC, trading through the BE MED SKILLED brand (we, us or our), collects and uses personal data when you visit https://bemedskilled.com, request a demonstration, contact us or request a resource.
BVS Trade FZC is the controller responsible for the processing described in this Policy. Our contact address is Executive Office B1-550(f), Ajman Free Zone, Ajman, P.O. Box 8010, United Arab Emirates. You can contact us at [email protected].
2. Scope
This Policy applies to this website and the enquiries and resource requests submitted through it. It does not apply to a distributor's, event organiser's or other third party's website, product or service, even where we link to it.
3. Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identity and professional details, such as your name, role, institution and country.
- Contact details, such as your work email address and, when you provide it, your telephone number.
- Enquiry and request details, including your message, subject, products of interest, preferred language, requested demonstration window and time zone.
- Consent records, including whether you accepted the Privacy Policy, your optional marketing choice, the policy version and the time and source of your choice.
- Technical and usage data, such as IP-derived security signals, an opaque visitor or session identifier, pages visited, referrer, locale, campaign parameters, approximate country, browser family and version, operating system and device class.
- Communications and business records created when we respond to you, prepare a quotation or continue a commercial relationship.
4. How we use personal data and why
We use personal data only for specified purposes and where we have a lawful basis under applicable law. Those purposes and bases include:
- To receive, route and answer your enquiry; arrange a demonstration; provide a requested resource; and take steps you request before entering into a contract.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot the site, prevent abuse and keep evidence of requests and consent, where necessary for our legitimate interests and legal obligations.
- To understand site performance and improve navigation using first-party analytics, only after you give optional analytics consent.
- To send product news or other marketing communications, only when you have made an optional marketing choice or where another lawful permission applies. You may opt out at any time.
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims and comply with applicable legal, regulatory, tax and accounting requirements.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use necessary cookies and local storage for language selection, security and remembering your privacy choice. Optional first-party analytics is activated only after consent. Our Cookie Policy gives the current names, purposes and retention periods and explains how to change your choice.
6. Where personal data comes from
Most personal data comes directly from you. Technical data is generated when your browser interacts with the site. We may also receive business contact details from your institution, an authorised distributor or an event where you asked to hear from us, subject to applicable law.
7. Who receives personal data
We may share personal data with personnel who need it, an authorised distributor when needed to answer a request in your territory, professional advisers and authorities where required by law. We also use service providers acting on our instructions, including website and database hosting, content delivery and security, cloud storage, content management and business email providers.
Our current technical setup may involve Hetzner, Cloudflare, Sanity and VK WorkSpace/Mail.ru services. Providers may process limited data in the countries where they or their subprocessors operate. We do not sell personal data.
8. International transfers
Because we operate from the United Arab Emirates and use providers in other countries, personal data may be transferred across national borders, including to the European Economic Area. Where required, we use an adequacy basis, contractual safeguards, your explicit consent or another transfer mechanism permitted by applicable law.
9. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above and for applicable legal, accounting and dispute periods. First-party visitor analytics is scheduled for deletion after 90 days of inactivity and, in all cases, no later than 12 months after creation. Links between an enquiry and consented analytics are scheduled for deletion after 24 months. Short-lived request deduplication and abuse-prevention records expire after 24 hours.
Enquiry, correspondence, quotation and transaction records may be kept longer where needed to handle the relationship, comply with law or establish, exercise or defend claims. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including encrypted transport, restricted access, separated service roles, anti-abuse controls and retention processes. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law and its exceptions, you may ask for information about our processing; access or a copy of your personal data; correction of inaccurate data; deletion; restriction or cessation of processing; transfer of data where applicable; or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
To exercise a right, email [email protected] and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the competent UAE data protection authority or another authority available to you under applicable law.
12. Children
The site is intended for healthcare, education and procurement professionals and is not directed to children. Do not submit personal data about a child through our forms. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
13. Marketing choices
Marketing consent is optional and is separate from a request for a demonstration, resource or response. You can withdraw it using an unsubscribe method in a message or by emailing [email protected]. Service messages needed to answer an active request are not marketing.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
